WVM Specialist CertificationThe Workplace Violence Mitigation (WVM) Certification is designed for HR Professionals, Security Directors and Insurance Professionals. Its purpose is to ensure that program participants are familiar with the measures necessary to mitigate the loss of life and livelihoods as they relate to workplace violence incidents.

- What to watch for as precursors to violent acts in the workplace
- What resources are available and should be implemented to ensure that workplace violence policy, practice and procedure (PPP) work in consort for a common end result
- Where to obtain proper training for employees for purposes of self-preservation in the event of an actual violent encounter
- Development of a comprehensive Workplace Violence Mitigation Plan
- Resources to implement that plan

The course is composed of 2 Levels
WVMI Level 1 – Preliminary Qualifications for Specialist Training
Presented online & self-paced, Level 1 is a prerequisite WVMI Certification, required for enrollment in WVMI Level 2, Specialist Training & Certification.
The objectives of WVMI Level 1 are:
WVMI Level 2 – Specialist Training & Certification
Presented in a full day classroom environment, Level 2 covers the Policy, Practice & Procedure components of plan implementation as well as the resources to initiate and maintain the WVM Plan.
The objectives of WVMI Level 2 are:
Presented online & self-paced, Level 1 is a prerequisite WVMI Certification, required for enrollment in WVMI Level 2, Specialist Training & Certification.
The objectives of WVMI Level 1 are:
- To understand the external rules, laws and regulations, that define the legal, standard, and appropriate Policies, Practices, and Procedures in an effective WVMI Plan.
- To emphasis the importance of having someone WVMI Certified in every organization, institution and workplace.
WVMI Level 2 – Specialist Training & Certification
Presented in a full day classroom environment, Level 2 covers the Policy, Practice & Procedure components of plan implementation as well as the resources to initiate and maintain the WVM Plan.
The objectives of WVMI Level 2 are:
- Learning and developing the skills and resources to successfully implement a Workplace Violence Mitigation Plan, in full compliance with external rules, laws and regulations, and observing the legal, standard, and appropriate PPP.
- To achieve the credentials for helping businesses provide the safest possible workplace environment that saves lives and livelihoods.
